Візит до США: зустрічі в Українських домах та підтримка української молоді за кордоном

У межах візиту української делегації до Сполучених Штатів Америки, до складу якої увійшла заступниця Міністра молоді та спорту України Уляна Токарєва, відбулися ряд робочих зустрічей.

Візит проходив на запрошення Радниці — уповноваженої Президента України з питань безбар’єрності Тетяни Ломакіної в межах реалізації Національної стратегії зі створення безбар’єрного простору в Україні, ініційованої Першою леді України Оленою Зеленською.

Серед іншого — зустрічі в Українських домах у Вашингтоні та Міннеаполісі. У Вашингтоні відбулося знайомство з потенційними партнерами та обговорення можливостей подальшої співпраці у сфері молодіжної політики, інклюзії та безбар’єрних підходів.

У Міннеаполісі — поспілкувалися з командою Українського дому (Ukrainian American Community Center). Зокрема, участь у зустрічі взяв директор центру Дмитро Блущак. Під час розмови обговорили можливості подальших спільних ініціатив.

Окремий акцент — підтримка української молоді, яка нині перебуває за межами країни. “Для нас важливо зберігати зв’язок із молодими українцями, створювати можливості для їхньої участі, розвитку та взаємодії з Україною незалежно від місця перебування”, — зазначила Уляна Токарєва.

Такі контакти доповнюють системну роботу Міністерства з розвитку міжнародного партнерства.

Мінмолодьспорт послідовно працює над тим, щоб молодіжна політика враховувала принципи безбар’єрності, участі та рівного доступу до можливостей молодими українцями — як в Україні, так і за кордоном.

Visit to the USA: meetings at Ukrainian Homes and support for Ukrainian youth abroad

As part of the visit of a Ukrainian delegation to the United States of America, which included the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Uliana Tokarieva, several working meetings took place.

The visit took place at the invitation of the Adviser – the President of Ukraine’s commissioner for barrier-free accessibility, Tetiana Lomakina, within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

Among other things, it involved meetings at Ukrainian Homes in Washington and Minneapolis. In Washington, the delegates were introduced to potential partners and discussed opportunities for further cooperation in the field of youth policy, inclusion, and barrier-free approaches.

In Minneapolis, the delegation spoke with the team of the Ukrainian Home (Ukrainian American Community Center). In particular, the director of the center, Dmytro Blyshchak, took part in the meeting. During the conversation, the possibilities for further joint initiatives were discussed.

Separate emphasis was put on supporting Ukrainian youth who are currently outside the country.

“It is important for us to maintain a connection with young Ukrainians, to create opportunities for their participation, development, and interaction with Ukraine regardless of their place of residence,” Uliana Tokarieva noted.

Such connections complement the Ministry’s systematic work on developing international partnerships.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports consistently works to ensure that youth policy considers the principles of barrier-free accessibility, participation, and equal access to opportunities for young Ukrainians – both in Ukraine and abroad.
